Sunday Snapshot

Here is my entry for the Sunday Snapshot at Ni Hao Y'all. These are the moments that make it all worthwhile. After an unusually cold and rainy spring, the sun is starting to make an appearance! The weather if FINALLY starting to feel like spring and those sunny days spent outside are priceless.
The smiles on the kids' faces as they share a snack and play is a memory I will treasure forever. They played together for hours outside, laughing and always including the littlest one!
Bring on the sun!

Littlest Heroes and Bravery Beads

I am so excited! I was just accepted as a photographer for The Littlest Heroes Project. It is a fantastic organization that matches photographers with families with children who are ill. The kids can be anywhere from infants to 21 years old. The photographers provide a photo shoot for the families for free along with prints or digital images. It is a wonderful idea that I have just fallen in love with!

Along with photography work, they also have a project called "Bravery Beads." It is a program where kids make bracelets for the Littlest Heroes. I can't wait to get supplies for my daughter to start making bracelets. It is a great project for Girl Scouts or any little girl who enjoys beading!

Celebrating Mom Photo Challenge at I Heart Faces!

This is my entry for the Celebrating Mom Challenge at http://iheartfaces.blogspot.com. It is not the best picture, but it shows exactly why I had such a great Mother's Day! Getting handmade gifts from my kids is priceless and so much fun. When they were babies Mother's Day was glamourous and all about pampering. Dad would pick out the present or the card and the kids would help present it. Now that they are older (6,5, &2) it is all about the kids. I couldn't be happier! I love all the love that went into these handmade presents and I love that my kids are the ones who put the time and effort into making them. Along with these gifts came a huge basket filled with lotions and soaps and hand sanitizers (thanks to Daddy for venturing to take two out of three wild kids into a beauty store and letting them pick out what they wanted to get me)! The day couldn't have been better!

My Daughter

Ni Hao Y'all

My oldest daughter turned 6 in January. Since then she has grown and blossomed into a full blown kid. I remember the day when all of a sudden she was a toddler and not a baby any more. Then she was a preschooler and not so much a toddler. Now, in a very short period of time she has learned how to ride a two wheeler and how to tie her shoes. She can read stories and write letters. She is on the swim team and is about to have her first swim meet. She has lost 2 teeth and has a few more that are ready to fall out any moment. Sure, all kids do this, but I just never thought my kid would grow up so soon...
